Eileen Granfors lives in Santa Clarita, Calif., with her husband and two dogs, both rescues, a Lab-Great Dane mix named Pistol Pete, and a Cockerbichonpoo named Nilla. Pete personally picked Nilla at the rescue site. A former army brat, surfer and teacher, Granfors joined the UCLA Writers' Program after her teaching career. She has completed (and is seeking an agent for) a first novel about an angry family reunited through a fateful encounter with a Newfoundland Retriever and his owner. She is now writing a prequel to a Dickens' classic.
